Cusp — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 September 2026

Cusp does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no adverts, no analytics and no third-party services. This policy explains what that means in practice.

What Cusp stores, and where

Everything you enter — your logged minutes, notes, cards, checkpoints and plan settings — is stored on your device.

If you are signed in to iCloud, that same data is also stored in your own private iCloud database, so it appears on your other devices. This is Apple's CloudKit private database, which belongs to your Apple Account. The developer of Cusp has no access to it and cannot read, export or recover it. Data held in iCloud is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, your data never leaves your device.

What Cusp does not do

Notifications

If you switch on the daily reminder, Cusp asks iOS for permission to send notifications. The reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS — nothing is sent to a server, and no push service is used to deliver them. You can turn them off in the app, or in iOS Settings, at any time.

Exports

Cusp can export your log as a JSON, CSV or Anki text file. This only happens when you ask for it, and the file is saved wherever you choose in the system save dialogue. Once saved, the file is outside Cusp's control.

Deleting your data

Children

Cusp is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
